No folks, we haven’t decided the best way to keep warm this winter is to go all chicken coup on you. We’ve been chosen as part of a brand new start up accelerator called the Ignition Labs Clean Tech Incubator!

What this means is that for the next 3 months, we will be receiving intensive mentoring, $25,000 in seed capital and participating in a roadshow in Australia and the US including attendance at SXSW Eco in Austin, Texas - all in the name of promoting clean tech startup companies within Australia!

This is super exciting news for us as it means we have the opportunity to reach even more people and spread the word about collaborative consumption and Open Shed as well as representing Australia as an innovator in green tech later on in the year.

After a huge first week, we have already met some truly awesome people and discovered some new Aussie ideas too. Keep your eyes out for the four other businesses who are joining us on our Ignition Labs ride:

• Chunk Moto - Electrically driven performance vehicles.

• LoadMax - Load and maximise empty space to transport goods and save money.

• MicroEnergyLabs – Making dumb electricity meters smart.

• Zenogen – Highly efficient carbon electrodes for hydrogen production.
